You hit another key UK system - the Pictish Scottish base 37 base unit is 111 x 0.12 imperial feet - 1.332 feet.
5920 the Scottish mile from Edinburgh Castle to HOLY ROOD House is 5920 imperial feet
5920 / 1.332 = 4444.4444444 / 100*99 = 4400 / 3 = 1466.6666r
Archaeologist Helen Hulholland has written a brilliant paper about it. The Picts laid out the land using right angled triangles and used 5920 feet as a land unit.

5920 / 111 = 53.3333r /100 x 99 = 5280.
Iy is important to distinguish between units of transition ie the roman foot as 34/35 of 39.37 imperial to metric and systemic units working within particular bases iw 99 and 100.
the best way i can illustrate this is by using the enclish mile and the metric system
the unit of transition is 39.37 and the systemic unit is 39.37 which should not be used within either system.
The unit to be used in the metric system is 2.5 x 100/99 = 2.52525252525252r
Using the mile 3280 feet x 12 = 63360 inches x 2.54 = 160934.4
whreas 63360 x 2.5252525r = 160000 exactly.
This works at stonehenge aubrey
897.60 x 12 = 10771,20 x 2.52525r = 27200 Thom's megalithic units in metric format.
This is important because in Howard Crowhurst's formidable work at Carnac he identifies the use of the metre and this is 5000 BCE and the system is in full working order so pre Stonehenge by a considerable margin unless UK dates are totally screwed up.He relies on the work of Thom.
The french metre is an ancient ( speed of light) system based on the polar circumference as you know netter than I do. I have pulled the available info into a best fit system and it has all slotted into place around Thom, 102 and the imperial 99.
