I've been kind of hesitant to address this topic parallel to the Intelligent Design and Human Origins discussion that's been running strong ever since I started this one. I think it is reasonable to say that early mankind simply followed the patterns and cycles of the Cosmos around them on a mostly instinctive level, same as any other species of plant and animal in the remote stage of human development. But over time, became more consciously aware that these cycles could be calculated rationally as well. It seems that endeavor has been evolving ever since those remote, purely instinctive impulses began in our species. But perhaps this ability has gone too far, when it tries to use our ability to reason or rationalize our own beginning as well as the Cosmos we are a part of.
The old adage, "Follow your Instincts", still prevails in this situation I think,
