Not really dodgy to me, but perhaps you can show where you see pi (22/7) in this, I am rather slow and haven't the foggiest idea of what you are trying to say regarding pi? However just for clarification and maybe a little fun, 0.971428571 fractionally is 34/35 then 34/35 x 7 = 6 4/5 as a mixed fractions, = (34/5) as an improper fraction and (6.8) decimally.
