The evidence for these pyramid estates is indisputable. It consists of tomb scenes from Fourth Dynasty mastabas and some carved reliefs from Khufu's valley causeway and mortuary temple which depict offering trains of servants carrying food and bringing livestock to the pyramid site. These are convenient labeled by hieroglyphic inscriptions indicating the names of the settlements and the lord of the estate.

Again...read Lehner's "The Complete Pyramids." All of this evidence is heavily cited.
