From my perspective I have to give Von Daniken his due. I may marvel at the leaps of logic and intuition and doubt the veracity of some of his evidence but say what you will the little I've read is more logical than Lehner. I find them both incredible but see no logic and little reason in Lehner or Egyptological methodology. Perhaps part of the problem is that Egyptology is so complex it can't be dumbed down enough for we laymen. ;)
Or maybe there really isn't any rocket surgery or brain science either. ;)
