Everything I see suggests propagation within the passageways influenced by the very block work that goes to make up the passages. The surrounding block work in any particular location designed to control and manipulate whatever is being propagated.
As if the passageways/voids are a mere artefact of the functionally necessary surrounding block work.
Not so much about the void, but what is occurring around or at the boundary of the void/stone work???
Analogous to a horseshoe magnet. The void between the poles being secondary, albeit necessary, to the poles themselves.
A long line of horseshoe magnets would appear to be a passageway. If you didn't know anything about magnetism.

Tomb being the name given to an inexplicable structure. I don't see a tomb.
