No no.. I think T'bird might be talking about something like this. Cylindrical with variable volume.

Possibly rectangular with iris control?
The uniformity of Lego brick courses may cause interference patterns and eddies.
Much better to use a homologous cavity.
Or at least simulate a homologous structure through non linear, non uniform Lego bricks.
Can you get polygonal Lego bricks?
