I blame them for not doing even the simplest tests to determine the nature of the various artefacts. We still don't have infrared data that could have been provided a CENTURY AGO!!! You might find this natural or endearing but it is simply a fact and this fact shows that as a discipline Egyptology has failed in its task to learn about the Egyptians. You can't change this fact by repeating the mantras that have been used for centuries that the Egyptians mustta been highly superstitious and changeless while dragging tombs up ramps. We have found the moribund and it was NOT the ancient Egyptians.
No individual Egyptologist is responsible for this sorry state of affairs so it is unreasonable to blame them. Whoever put them in charge is far more responsible but this, too, merely evolved. The status quo always exists because it is the status quo. It's far past time that Egyptologists should be removed from control of the physical ruins and artefacts. This should be overseen by the Egyptian government and scientists, not linguists.

Nonsense.
Read what I write not what you believe I must mean. If you parse my words as an insult directed at individuals then you did it wrong.
All Egyptologists are wrong about the nature of the people who lived in ancient Egypt. It's just this simple. They were so busy parsing the words that they never noticed all of their assumptions were wrong. You probably believe this is an insult but the fact is being wrong is the human condition and not a character flaw. Wise people embrace being wrong and being proven wrong, lesser people fear it.

Man fears the pyramid, time fears man.
