I wasn't talking about the advocates of Egyptology here on this forum. lol.
Actual professional Egyptologists who have achieved enough success to have been embraced by the public as authorities, simply can't partake in the reckless activities of trolling and thin regurgitated leaps of over simplification, because that kind of thing risks too easily being refuted, and that illusion of authority being exposed.
Its a pretty important role that is actually endorsed and enabled by humanity itself, because the beginning of exploration into these things is accompanied by the terrifying process of acknowledgement of how vulnerable and ignorant we are, in stark contrast to the comfortable narrative of how advanced and intelligent we are as a species at this point in our history.
So in fact, we are all guilty of enabling this obstinance in Egyptology and the activities we here attack and rail against, are actually the protection of the stability of our sense of self as a species, so my point is, its a much bigger job to get us past that. Its actually almost ridiculous to insist the publicly acknowledged 'authorities' of history are supposed to change their job description from 'calm soothing care giver' to 'drunk uncle speeding on a highway with baby seats in the back'.
Any like minded people to those of us who are open to the idea of an advanced civilization in the past ALL have reached a point of public visibility immediately followed by career destruction and obscurity, not because of Egyptology, but because the entire system is rigged against that message being accepted.
So in truth, the only ones who will be successful in hand holding the public to make those steps HAS to be Egyptology. So I'm just saying that the discussion has to be lead by individuals who will resist the temptation to blame Egyptology, and the only way to do that is to empathize with them as enabled champions of the protection of blissfully ignorant humanity. You'll find the courage and patience to suffer through their obstinance, if you view their particularly complex psychological role with sympathy.
Don't victim shame them, or they'll dig in like Hawass and we'll lose another century.
(I will try to take my own advice here and there... baby steps..)
