I'm not confident that the 'drilling and scope' will be allowed to show the truly original condition.
In fact with the present hierarchy in place I seriously doubt that any new data will be uncensored or un-surpressed.
Hawass himself has made it clear that that no data should be released to the public without the prior approval of Egyptology. I'm not sure what his definition of the public and egyptology is in terms of specific groups.
Obviously the the science and engineering contingent of the Scan Pyramid project have deemed it necessary to go outside and beyond the above in order to ensure that their discovery reaches a wide audience.
Furthermore SCA representatives have very clearly gone out of their way to attempt to dumb down the discovery.
The SCA being the controlling legal authority we may well see an information lock down in the near future.
There being no mention of the discovery on the SCA controlled official website.

I'm not sure either. How many fringe narratives are there? How many mainstream narratives are there?
What is the logical threshold of any given mainstream narrative?
What defines mainstream and fringe, where does the boundary lie, how wide is the boundary?
