Somehow, I don't think you would believe Origyptian regardless of what his reply might be?

As I suspect most posters here, we urge/ remind ourselves we ought do a little more exercise? Regardless the older we get it is boring and holds less purpose interest for many. But:
There will be a quality kitchen bench manufacturer near you dealing in real granite bench tops.
Approach and you will find they have disgard 'off cuts' in skip bin (USA:dumpster?) Likely free of charge to a kindly gentleman. Get two one sponge hand clasp size.
Obtain sand and water and start rubbing! After an hour or so you might be lucky if offcut was originally polished to notice /see some very fine scratches?
Do not give up. Then look up local lapidary club get tips to obtain emery or corundum paste. Or, smash up a thin angle grinder disc, suggest mix with toothpaste or the like.
Rub with more confidence and glee ( wear teatowel to mimick Nemes ;-) see if you can make any impression on it in a several hour (take regular health breaks) stint?
Then educate us about your findings. It might just change your and others outlook somewhat.
