The first that I quoted is not labeled G3, but inferred as "like G3". It is from the mastaba. If you follow the link in the OP it will take you to the other pictures of this ceiling which is made of granite.

As far as I know what is seen in G3 is the first of its kind.

Using curved blocks like this, again as far as I know G3 would be the earliest. But I would be interested for someone to provide evidence of earlier examples if there are any....
