Hey, if we're comparing the ruts to modern powered tram transports, I'm all for it. It makes no sense at all until power is added, then it makes all kinds of sense.
However, there is a problem: the vast majority of the ruts have cross section details which do not conform to the concept of a cut or chiseled feature. The cross sections do display characteristics of having been impressed into soft material by rolling wheels or sliding sled runners.
