There has been an ongoing dig at the site for at least a decade now. There's no damage from any nuclear blast, the city is in pretty good shape, and the Archaeologists there are not wearing lead overcoats. You can see all this at the website they put up.

There is no mention of the site being involved in any destruction in Hindu mythology. There is nothing in any Hindu mythology that can be construed as a nuclear weapon.

The whole thing is a complete fabrication that started, as far as I can tell, with a posting on Rense.com that was loaded with laughable errors. That story referenced the "World Island Revue" magazine for its information. The magazine is, of course, unavailable. You can't even find any information online about the magazine, much less what a recreational magazine was doing pretending to be an archaeological journal.
