Re: unless the cuts were being made very, very quickly...

Turned..... what like on a 30,000 rpm high speed, sonic, sun crystal lasered, harder than diamond, advanced turbo lathe like the fringyist of the fringe are always going on about to one degree or another even when they misidentify something that’s one step up from soapstone as harder than iron? Is it really going to be believed that ready to use stone axes in Neolithic times just popped out of the ground due to frost heaving or whatever in the next round of fringehistory books........ left over remnants of the LoSt OnEs Dinotimes franchise of pre-pre-Flood reenactment parks.
Since Neolithic peoples were able to carve granite into stone axes using simple percussion and lapidary grinding techniques..... I have no idea why anyone would imagine a granodiorite statue cannot be carved thousands years later in AE with skilled artisans and teams of carvers.
Who knows what the steps were ….. combine these techniques or any other of a similar nature until you get what you see.
- cut by lapidary saw
- core by lapidary drill
- drill by lapidary beading drill
- carve by flint or dolerite pecking hammer
- carve by dolerite maul
- grind with sandstone rubber.
-polish with polishing stone
