The physical evidence from the AE (ie, traditional Dynastic timeline) supports a huge volume of notions but doesn't support that kind of technology. Is it "possible"? Sure. So are aliens. But I see no reason to force the probability when it's not supported by the evidence. It makes more sense to me to consider what I see as more plausible scenarios. It's as simple as that.
I have no idea (yet) how far back is reasonable. From my perspective at this point, it only needs to be far enough back to allow for absorption/resorption of the non-durable evidence and and for technological amnesia to ensue.

I saw them once at Giants Stadium and it was a spectacular show. The only possible flaw was that Mick could no longer hit the high B in Honky Tonk! ; )
By the way, most people don't realize that Mick wrote those lyrics from God's point of view, not Satan's! God is the "man of wealth and fame" in those lyrics. Most people are wrong when they "guess my name" to be "Satan". In other words, all those events in the lyrics were acts of God, not of Satan. Interesting guy, this Jaggar cat, eh?
