What's more interesting is why they had to build in the crazy, bizarre,diffult to do method at the lower end of the AP and then go on to use standard, regular, easy to do blockwork at the upper end.
The AP is interesting because in one feature within one structure we see two entirly different styles.
Progressing from lower "crazy" to upper "sensible".
Also the granite plug in original undamaged form would have penetrated about halfway into the northernmost, lower girdle block.
