- "First question.
To start this deduction, Are there any saw marks at building sites, attributed to the AE, outside of Giza? Yes or No?"
Steve, yes, there are other sites with stone artifacts containing appear to be "saw marks".
What quickly comes to mind are the curved granite slab at Abu Rawash, the long, tapered grooves on long granite blocks at Karnak, and at least one stray saw groove cut into one of the boxes at the Serapeum. Of course, there are a slew of drill marks into granite blocks at several sites. The most interesting (to me) is the 18" bore hole with complex annular rebates at Karnak, but there's an interesting one that includes rebates at a site across the river from Karnak.
All of those marks are in igneous rock and have all been published here previously. You might want to take a look at Jon's discussions on Inexplicable Engineering a year or two ago.
How can any of us ever know, when all we can do is think?
