Thanks for the encouragement. Until I'm proven right, I'm just a crackpot.
I enjoy researching but at this point I feel like I've run down almost every clue. The search engines continue to degrade so even if I came up with a high quality lead it might get me nowhere. It's been months since I've tweezed out any important new meanings.
Don't get me wrong; there's still a great deal of work that needs to be done across the board in all this and far more to rediscover than what I've found but now it's primarily the work of scholars and better scientists than I.
It will be 20 years before a new translation of the Pyramid Texts reflecting author intent will be published. This would be most helpful especially if unknown (insoluble by context) words were transliterated. The bad translations in the PT were the thing that made it the most difficult to solve. Translators don't like not translating even when they have no clue what the author meant.
Hi Clad,
You needn't worry about being called a crackpot. This subject attracts crackpots. If they did, you would have plenty of company. Maybe myself included? In the end, does it really matter?
