Stadelmann does no such thing. Where the pyramid town is specified, an extra determinative appears—this one:
We see this combination:

The town of the (named) pyramid is specified.
No such determinative follows 3ḫt Ḫwfw in the Merer diary. What does appear is (the cursive equivalent of) this:
The pyramid 3ḫt Ḫwfw is specified.
