Here's some of his recent work that got my attention;
Morrow suggests we completely and utterly misinterpret the ancient language. Colavito is so caught up in his hero worship of Egyptologists he missed this little gem altogether;
Pull back, Baboon’s penis! Open, [sky’s door!
You sealed the door, open a path for Unis] on the blast of heat where the gods scoop water.
Horus’s glide path--TWICE--will Unis glide on, in this blast of heat where the gods scoop water, and they will make a path for Unis that Unis may pass on it: Unis is Horus.
A penis must pull back and a door in the sky open.
The penis had sealed the door and should open a path for the dead king. This path is on a blast of heat where gods scoop water (from said blast of heat).
Horus will glide twice on his glide path as will the dead king while on the blast of heat where gods scoop water, and they make a glide path as well (with water scooping gods in heat?) that the dead king who is a horus may pass on it.
This is freaking nonsense!!! It's no damn wonder Egyptologists think these people are stupid and confused if they really think they wrote such convoluted inanities. I have no clue what Allen's translation means in English far less what it might have meant to the author. Indeed, much of what Allen writes has no logical sense in our language. He is either not an English speaker or he believes the Pyramid Texts were word soup that can't be translated into English.
Then Colavito simply quoted Allen;
“It is a translator’s job to be as faithful to the original as possible while using words and constructions that make sense to modern readers. Ms. Morrow has not done that,” Egyptologist and Pyramid Texts translator James P. Allen told the Huffington Post. “Her ‘translation’ is basically a poet’s impression of what she thinks the texts should say, and not a reflection of what they actually say.”
Really!?! Now this I don't need a translator to understand.
At least Morrow could be right. I'm sure I understand this utterance but the ancient language occured in multiple dimensions and I can't rule out some or a lot of truth in the meaning she's found. But there's Allen writing gobbledty gook and bragging about writing in terms people can understand. He may as well have put the glyphs in a blender and served them with a sandwich.
I'd be far more interested in Morrow's opinion of Allen than Allen's opinion of Morrow but Colavito just wants to smash any idea that doesn't kowtow to orthodoxy which has obviously taken a series of very bad turns away from science and away from evidence. As Coppens said they are stuck in the 1860's. They have to make wilder and wilder claims to support their beliefs and can't even acknowledge the existence of contradictory evidence like the thermal anomaly any longer. They are holed up in their ivory towers and Colavito is running supplies to them.
