You can read everything that survives in an hour, see all the relevant data in a few more hours and then spend twenty lifetimes reading Egyptological interpretations of it.
I can save you the trouble;
The great pyramid builders were gobbledty gook spouting stinky footed bumpkins who dragged tombs up ramps and never changed.
Anyone armed with the above sentence/ paragraph/ dissertation is a five second expert. Just remember to say "et al" a lot and have a reading list with you at all times. ;)
