Jason Colavito's work is at best orthodox.
I'd call most of it uninspired and barely relevant to what he critiques. He merely is rehashing the beliefs of Egyptologists as though their beliefs were founded in the bedrock of logic and evidence rather than the quicksand of guesses and assumptions.
Perhaps I could enjoy his work if he wrote about Egyptological ideas but then he's so busy kowtowing to the status quo, he'll never have the time.
