What interest me is, how the Pyramids were built. I feel the AE had a variety of techniques that over time, have become a lost technology. Nothing elaborate. Just simple procedures today we know little or nothing about. So many of us, seem bewildered, as to the AE moved such large stones. This is because the knowledge has faded to such an extent, it is no longer taught. It has become lost and out dated. We are told, the AE knew nothing about block and tackle. That is not necessarily true.
Case in point. When I was younger I ran across an article showing how to easily hang a deer in a tree without a Pulley. I was young, and just looking to learn about Pulleys. The article went on to show a simple movable pulley without the wheel and axle, and how it worked using 1/2 the amount of labor to pull the deer (in this case) up into a tree. Without reading any of my previous posts, how many of you even knew about this technique. I venture to say, not many. The common pulley is so predominate, few individuals understand, (you do not need a wheel and axle to make a movable 2:1 pulley system). This implies, you also don't need a wheel to achieve a 3:1 ratio, or any other ratio a for that matter. All the wheel does, is reduce friction. That in and of itself, does not negate the ability to hoist large heavy objects.
Just try and Google it. You likely will not be able to find this knowledge. What else falls into this category? There must be many of these lost techniques, we know nothing about. The AE didn't need the wheel. They were able to move heavy weights without it.
