For serious discussion of the controversies, approaches and enigmas surrounding the origins and development of the human species and of human civilization. (NB: for more ‘out there’ posts we point you in the direction of the ‘Paranormal & Supernatural’ Message Board).
This may go over well in Australia,
but here your jocular style doesn't always work.
You can indicate lack of interest in purchasing Scott's book, based on his article and a review of the promotional materials on this website with much more subtlety. To turn on your fellow bloggers with personal insults is where I think you cross the line. I disagree with almost everyone, one time or another, but I'm grateful for the companionship, opportunities to learn, and good cheer from fellow GHMB members--less when they correct my mistakes, but I get over it.
As a relative newcomer, you may not be aware, but there may have been a hundred or more thoughtful bloggers that have participated in discussions of these issues at GHMB over the years--and most of them considered questions that you choose to dismiss rather carelessly.
I'm sure that Scott will present an interesting, but ultimately unconvincing analysis, but there have been many before and will be many after who will similarly fall short. I've always appreciated his efforts. I will be satisfied with a few new alternatives to consider. . .
