I don't understand that perspective. Are you saying that any intelligent reader can't simply refer to a good quality photo of that cartouche and decide for themselves whether those brush strokes appear as Jon describes? Jon's expertise simply gave him the additional insight to notice the nuances of those brush strokes. But once Jon put that on the table, it's pretty easy to determine the veracity of that characterization without going into any additional background of Jon's specific training. Even if Jon never attended any schooling at all, his descriptions are still there, and the photos of the cartouche are still there, and any of us are capable of comparing the two to see if there is a correspondence or not, regardless of what background Jon has that prompted him to present such a characterization in the first place.
