Nice post.
If you or others have not read it, I think many would find The Pyramid Odyssey by William R Fix enjoyable. He asks this question as well amongst chapters addressing the Tomb Theory and the quarry marks in the RC along the bent in the OP. Published in 1978, he was an Edgar Cayce devotee along with Mark Lehner at the time, so this is kind of the angle of the book which to each their own on that, but it is interesting nonetheless and as an aside an example for the uninformed that such topics are nothing new.
