What kind of word games are YOU playing now?
The AE's tools were NOT primitive, they were Low-Tech.
Many of the tools they used are still in use today, e.g. hammer, chisel, pick-axe, adze, etc. These tools take many forms but their functions are (still) basically the same. Also, the fact that these tools are still in use today supports the fact that they are effective.
