Femano.
Again.
Be told.
You were not following this at the time and you have not even begun to understand the chronology adequately.
As soon as Görlitz and Erdmann realised how much trouble they were in, they backpedalled wildly from statements made in the original publicity for their film (Das Cheops Projekt). The Spiegel story is one example of their doing this.
Görlitz and Erdmann and Höfer (collectively) contradicted themselves. That’s the whole point. No, Femano, the media did not confuse things; it was Görlitz and Erdmann and Höfer confused things.
Contrary to your misrepresentation, Frank Höfer was the producer and director of the film. Clearly he worked closely with Görlitz and Erdmann and it is profoundly unlikely that his statements in the crowdsourcing campaign were not vetted and authorised by them.
When the expletive hit the fan, a lot of the original publicity was pulled. Some of us anticipated this and saved the material before it happened.
Don’t presume to comment with your Johnny-come-lately “knowing better” conceit on something you know nothing about.
