The particular topic referred to being the painted glyphs in relieving chambers, I think it is also important to consider the certainty of contamination, given black powder was used to open these chambers and the chambers themselves have been viewed dozens of time by burning torchlight and written over with modern graffiti, not to mention touched and rubbed on innumerable times by visitors.
Not sure that it matters, but there's also the fact they were painted on what is, essentially, hundred million year old carbon.
