>You are the expert so I'm asking you..
No I'm being asking because for some inexplicable reason ones seemingly barely and/or unable to scratch granite even after going at it for a day with a DeWalt and I have to assume any other rock the ancient Egyptians carved into stone vessels, including soapstone. I suggest learning how to scratch a rock first and then come up with your own plausible solutions to that problem instead of asking everyone else to do it for you. Remember the notion that they only can be made overnight is a fringism........ perpetrated by those that proliferated the fallacy for whatever reason that granite can barely be scratched by diamond if at all.

How did they carve the undercut?
