As I recall, the largest block at Saksayhuaman is about 280 tons, and the blocks adjacent to it are obviously quite heavy as well. And so any claim of trial and error jointing of those angular precision surfaces seems absolutely unfathomable even with today's technology, let alone with ancient primitive tools (the Incas didn't even have the wheel).
