bottom line is, considering the general difficulty of the plug removal idea, in some ways it defies the respect for perfect form and function on first glance, because of the awkwardness, tight space, great length of the AP for plug removal.
But it could just be that its a necessary evil considering the presumed necessity of such a thick insulation necessary for the system, and the presumed necessity of the geometric center of the system for the KC, hence making the long AP plug removal job unavoidable. But I suspect, in keeping with the 'prefection' of the system, there might be more evidence of a specialized chamber below the AP to facilitate a 'jack' system.
Because based on the water pump function of the lower chambers, I suspect an odd shaped void below the AP plugs wouldn't do any harm to the system if it were simply full of water at the equilibrium of the system. So I have distracting doubts.
