Apparently I misunderstand your contention. I had thought you meant it was the weight of produced water doing work.
Yes, there was definitely a moat and water collection device around the pyramid as evidenced by water erosion in canals that lead from it. It was difficult tounderstand the video because sound quality was somewhat lacking.
You're picturing something like a pump then that was powered by oxygen and hydrogen? This is a very attractive theory and exactly what I'd be working on if I weren't so preoccupied by other concerns related to the means by which it was constructed. Are you proposing that the mechanism was for the purpose of lifting the stones of which it is composed?
Keep up the work. You just might hit the exact answer. I'm still somewhat unsure of the reasons (purpose) it was built.
