Claude, I would have to agree with you, I just love the colours of fall. The trees seem to be turning earlier this year. We might be in for a cold winter. Pete > there is no better season than fall for the photographer right > ? and it never comes fast enough for us, lol........ >

Hi Claude, I would gladly swap you cameras if your painting skills came with it. :-) Patience is the one thing that shooting wildlife has helped me appreciate. I'm looking forward to the fall and the change of colours. Hopefully, I can get some good shots. Pete

Hi Claude, Love the picture! I wish we had sunsets like that here in Ontario. As you know, being a good photographer requires the eye of an artist. I envy those who have the skills to draw or paint and can express themselves in a truly meaningfully manner. The skill set required with a good photographer is knowing how to compose and frame their subject and then having the technical know how to

Hi Armoured Fury, Here is a very simplified explanation of your problems. What you are experiencing is an altered state of consciousness. It is brought on by over stressing the brain(probably the pineal gland) and producing an excess of DMT or di-methyl-tryptamine. Some people have naturally very high levels in their systems. There are 70+ methods to trigger or stress the brain into this stat

I went for a coffee this morning and sat with a group of WWII veterans most of whom I knew. I have very rarely ever heard any of them speak of their war years. But the silence and the pain in their eyes spoke volumes. It was a humbling experience. Pete

Hi Eddie, It's very simple, a major recession is under way. Markets will fall 3 times faster than they go up. If a recession has started(I believe it has) look for a time frame running 14 to 22 months, start to finish. The averages tend to lean toward the low side of these numbers but we have had large economies(U.S.)altering inflation numbers over the last 5 years to exclude oil & gas and f

Hi Music, In the more traditional sense Amen in Hebrew means "so be it", "truly". In Egyptian Amen can mean "dark" or "hidden one", interestingly in Hebrew amem(close in sound) can mean "darken" or "eclipse". Here is a little different etymology for the meaning of the word Amen. According to Agrippa von Nettesheim in his Occulta

Hi tycomcraign, The best book I have read on the subject is The Hydrogen Economy by Jeremy Rifkin. I believe pessimists such as Albert Bartlett of the University of Colorado have already indicated global oil production has peaked. Most other prognosticators are indicating between 2010 and 2020. Personally, with the increased production capabilites and the use of automobiles in China and Indi

Hi Christine, I have been side tracked this week. Having read Talisman when it first came out I can't recall if they discussed the Tarot or not. But in talking with my Masonic friends there are many strong cross-over points. Whether it belongs in this thread or not I suspect we will find out soon enough. :-) I didn't get an email from you but the servers I use have pretty strong filters so it c

Hi Ghia, I use only two because I like the symbolism contained within. The Rider-Waite deck and Crowley's. But I also look at other sources as well. The Masonic, Kabbalistic and Biblical referances and the symbolism and allegory contained there-in all make up what I put together in total. The sums taken from the parts sometimes gives you a deeper perspective. My primary interest has been at

As long as its in the right forum, it shouldn't be a problem. I don't believe it would be clogging anything as too few people study it. I say Bungle in the Jungle! I'm sure Jethro Tull wouldn't mind :-) Pete > Hahahahah , we could go on forever discussing this stuff!!!! > Let's not get started clogging up the airways! Hi Ghia, I spend almost all my time studying symbolism. Two of the best online sites for symbolism I have seen were run by anti-Masonic hate groups. It's strange if they spent 10% of their time studing symbolism they might actually understand what they are posting. The best material on symbolism is not found on the net. I also look at the Tarot but not in the traditional sense. The 5 is the

Hi Jennifer, Perhaps, if one takes the time(a precious commodity) you will find that you may not fully understand the real meaning of Masonry. There are doors available to those that know how to open them. Sometimes knocking on the right doors will open as well as close them. Don't be too hasty to give up, sometimes the eyes aren't capable of seeing what one needs to see. Seek and you will find

Hi Jennifer, Since this thread began my knowledge of masonry has grown by magnitudes. Although, I know longer choose to participate in these discussions because of confidences revealed to me. It shocks me how little some very high ranking Masons really know, never mind some of the self appointed experts posting here. I wouldn't be so pretentious to suggest that I hold a fraction of the knowledg

Hi Martin, The reason there's so much ignorance of Masonry is that those who have it are so eager share it. There are all kinds of people in this world, those who are generous with their time, money and talents and then we have those who insist on displaying an excess of ignorance through their contempt of things they don't understand. God shows his contempt of ignorance by the kind of person h

Claude, I try to behave myself but somedays my "bad habits" take rule. I think I'm going to try finishing some more of Wilmshurst works. I find reading his material the most enlightening on Masonry. I still have one of his works I haven't been able to get my hands on. I was hoping my source might be able to provide it but I haven't heard from him. Now that the summer holidays are c

Claude, You might remind Milo that here is the statement I posted for him. I thought it might help him because of his questions on symbolism. Had I realized he was going to get into prolonged rant and not take no for an answer I wouldn't have wasted my time. It's actually funny but sad. He seems to have some kind of a persecution complex to go along with his other phobias. I guess he was loo

MIlo, No disrespect but your interpretations on what Masonry is doesn't fit into the same category as mine. I see your view based on a lot of random noise created by individuals who are looking for something to blame their own personal problems on. Becoming obsessed with hatred for groups or individuals who think differently or chose not to share their private lives with us is a sign of a mu

Milo, I'm not interested in how pornographic pictures might fit into the bigger picture either. The fact you are trying to superimpose your world view onto symbols that were never intended or included in the original is someones artistic license gone to the extreme or taken out of context to when the original was done. > Ah, then you're not interested in the bigger picture.
