I am studying a book called, The Path of Druidry, by Penny Billington. It has excerpts of the Mabinogian, in which Bran is discussed. But that is not what I have to offer. I offer my insight to the seven, and the eighth principles of the Hermetic philosophy. As the book The Kybalion states: 1. The principle of mentalism; the all is mind. 2. The principle of correspondence; as above, so below

In the 12-step fellowship, I was told, "Dare to be average". Another one from the same person was, "the lunatics run the asylum". Those insights were obviously to encourage recovery and to let go of substance abuse. Since I don't go there anymore, I enjoy a few beers in the evening before bedtime. I mostly enjoy the GHMB forum, though it gets sticky sometimes. Well, on

It seems to me that no matter what we do, the plants have an influence on our consciousness when we consume derivatives, through skilled processing, and DIRECT our minds toward a plant MENTALITY. They are, after all, living beings and their message is the most bizarre kind of LANGUAGE. The voice of the plants is cooperation with our unlimited capacity to reveal our higher dimensional awareness an

The Road to Eleusis was published during the year I was truly on my own. I did not experience a flashback from a psychotropic (1974) until 1979, five years later. The year before, I was mostly on my own, though I was a mess psychologically. I was RAMPANT and destroyed my car, and eventually was given a bus ticket from my sister's husband, to my parents home. But the next year I was on a new ques

I have an interest in Hermes, but looking at Wikipedia, I only got confusion. Hermes, the Greek God of interpretive communication was mentioned in The Emerald Tablet. The book, The Emerald Tablet, by Dennis William Hauck, has the last lines as, "Therefore am I called Thrice Greatest Hermes, having all three parts of the wisdom of the whole universe." The Secret Teachings of All Ag

This is a short piece of study. The quest to understand the rise and fall of mythology was taken from Wikipedia. There are five tenets of mythology: 1. Personification of natural phenomena. This means that ancient humans saw each event as an act of will of some PERSONAL BEING. The Gods were plenty in the olden days. In fact, the reason of humans were categorized as-- 2. Truthful. They

Ray, I truly appreciate your hard work on presenting an OP with linked confirmation essays. You must know by now that I come off as "on the fly". Sometimes I write a proposal before I post. I read your link and was truly impressed with the subject matter. Unfortunately, I have never gotten involved with controversial articles or ideas. I quote here from the link on the OP: ".

Eddie, right on target!!! IDEAS RULE ALL HUMAN experiences. How far down the rabbit hole do we have to go before we realize that civilization is all a human construct. Play the game or get out!! It is sad how many people suffer for this "civilized" culture in its various forms. I tend to be alone outside of my duties at work. I have become JADED by all of the intrusions on my phone a

There is no mystery except what is in one's lack of personal experience. There is REALITY and it does not HIDE in human organizations or in buildings made by human hands. Mystery is a condition of consciousness that has yet to mature into natural awareness that comes with age and deep thought.

The "new year" is a human invention. Time, itself, does not recognize any dispensation of human ideology concerning Time. In fact, it moves with or without us, ever moving. Consider how far we have travelled in this daze of time "segments". Did no one tell you that it is all a concoction of human imagination? THINK ABOUT REALITY: it IS and it moves. We are beneficiaries o

You know, I get tired of folks constantly intellectualizing the world we all share. TAKE A WALK IN THE WOODS and see the MAJESTY of reality. Take a good, hard look at the details of plants, spiders, critters (mammalian), and the ENDLESS VARIETIES of lifeforms. Then make your choice: real or not real? If, then, it is real, acknowledge it and move forward with a new perspective of reality. If not,

PB, when I think about proof or evidence of God I consider the lilies of the field, as the foremost teacher of all times. The lilies are, like every specific organic and inorganic thing tells of an intelligence, God or no God. That intelligence has to be evident in all varieties of things. How could a massive amount of proof exist without some kind of AMAZING THOUGHT AND SPEECH associated wit

Ray, I agree with Carol. Would you like me to translate the word horticulture into your intended meaning. I know you don't want me to do that, since it is a clever word that is actually three words in translation. How unbecoming and unnecessary.

PD, I find it succinctly interesting that a Schizophrenia organization within the Masonic framework were the main supporters of Straussmen's research. It is necessary for research into the brain and the pineal to understand what causes the disease of the brain. Hopefully new information will be found to help alleviate the "broken" mind of people like me. It's either TOO MUCH info or WAY

Thankyou, Ron for the Scout code. And, Gerda, I never like getting in the middle of an argument. That's why I try to abstain, though sometimes I make an unnecessary comment. I know better. I got to keep trying to control myself; that's what Proverbs says: Better a man who controls himself than a man who takes a city. It's all relative to spiritual growth. Have a great day!!!

Is that I hope always to intuit the subject matter of any OP and to enlighten the subject with a different focus to further a discussion. My aim is what I have to learn and what I have already learned. It is duly interesting how often the subject invokes a rough debate and also how far afield the "discussion" veers away toward the "he said, she said" vernacular. I was a flo

Yes, PB, that's what happened long ago as they beat their drums and chanted. And, PD, yes the Hyper Connection allowed FULL BRAIN ACTIVITY. As a schizophrenic I was FULLY ENGAGED in my perceptions, no side tracks, straight on with my full brain. I was told that the psychotropic influence remained in my fatty tissues. Is that true? The Hippies were not just a phase in history. They actually

I know only one book, Trialogues at the Edge of the West, wherein McKenna, Sheldrake and another speak candidly about just about everything. I'm sorry, I only read a few pages some years back. Of course the Stoned Ape theory sounds exceedingly plausible. I just read some web sites on this subject. I was intrigued with the fact that 200,000 years ago the early cro-Magnon doubled his brain c

I have a suspicion that the INTENT for the use of entheogens was to ENHANCE the religious experience into what was known to be an agent of visions and the like. Other than schizophrenia, the applied practices of fasting, wilderness journeying(searching for substances), and meditation guiding the actual intake of these substances, would obviously be construed to direct the attention to that entran

I have not had any hallucinations since 2003. I have a regimen of medication to take these days. I have had much time to evaluate those experiences and have concluded that they were ALL WAKING DREAMS. I was dreaming with my eyes open while standing on my feet. I am convinced that, yes, there are triggers to the incidences. First, it is a deep inner need TO KNOW SOMETHING beyond the normal.

I must interject. I was on my one and only "trip" with a friend and we tried to play cards. The images on the cards were 3-dimensional and the music was a living breath of energy. I must admit that the whole experience wasn't unusual, but rather cartoonish and I learned very little on that trip. Even as I watched the fish in the bowl, I felt that nothing was different as I watched them.

Just a social note, here: Having been associated with a 12-Step community for about 15 years, I learned that EVERY INDIVIDUAL'S OPINION is to be respected and honored. Yes, there were "differences of opinion"(from the Basic Text). Yet, the theme of SUPPORTING THE INDIVIDUAL at the group level also supported each and all's "recovery" so that all could move forward toward bet

ALWAYS has no time, no space. It is beyond simplicity. It requires abandon of just mundane thoughts. It is the paradox of timelessness and spacelessness in a world that is made and experienced.

The stones in the photographs are so intricately formed that it reminds me of jigsaw puzzles. That is quite the marvel of engineering, planing and ingenuity.

Richard, did you like the song Rikki Don't Lose that Number by Steely Dan? I thought of it because of the need to keep a phone number, and now a website address. It was on your Salutes and Salutations post. I only know DMT through the sixties experimentation period, actually in the early seventies, since I was still young then. Anyways, the thoughts of those times brings back the trip I too
