Yes I agree - its just too warm and bright up there, but lets remember that the Sydney Swans are really just South Melbourne and its South Melbourne's first win 70 years (see I am getting the hang of this) so 'we' retain the glory.

I haven't looked at 'miscellaneous' for a while. Yes I know which storm you were talking about. The atmosphere was lighting up - I even closed the windows because the lightening seemed so close.

I always score incredibly high in IQ tests, but can't hold down jobs (the boss is an idiot syndrome), married a drunk and as I get older find myself increasingly living in my own madness. My son was tested purely for the sake of working out which year he should start school and he came back with 99.1 non verbal which I understood was the more mathematical/logic test and a bit lower in verbal th

I don't usually comment, just loiter and admire the wit, but had to get involved in this one. Without a medical condition I don't think it would be possible to be as obese as Venus, even if she had access to thousands of big round potatoes. If the little statue was based on a real woman, I would say the woman either had hypothyroidism or cushings syndrome. Perhaps the statue was made to record a

Thanks for sharing these latest developments. I worked out aspartame was poison long before I read about it. When I was a weight conscious teenager I used to drink at least four cans a day. This was over a period of three or four years. I am sure it has contributed to the health problems that I manage today particularly glucose intolerance and vertigo. In Australia, carbonated soft drinks are bei

My family on both sides has a history of seeing spirits. I've had my fair share of experiences - probably about five. It is not something I cultivate. Some of my encounters have been quite positive but some quite frightening. There was a story that my grandmother and great aunts used to tell but it is quite sad. I tell it with reverence. Apparently my great grandmother and great aunts went to b

I found this article on the NASA site which mentions what you have described. Of course the shuttle has returned safely which is always a relief, so I had to exert myself a little to find this.

I looked at Wilkipedia - black triangles and that description fits what I saw. Low altitude, totally silent, the shape is right and when I first saw it at least one of the lights were flashing until it stopped and began to hover.

Sounds like the thing I saw last year in Northern New South Wales Australia. From below the object, going by the lights on its base, it could very well have been triangular. The lights were initially coloured - red or orange and another colour. Then the coloured lights were replaced by white light. It was able to go from travelling at quite a speed to just hanging there in what seemed like an ins

I think our knowledge came from an ET source, particularly when I think about all the ancient natural remedies all over the world. I don't believe people worked out the remedial qualities of herbs from trial and error - too many herbs and too many ailments to match. My husband has survived a secondary cancer to the liver for ten years now after being treated by a traditional Chinese doctor using

Mine come true a lot, but sometimes the scenes I view in dreams which later occur are only about trivial events and I think what's the point of being shown this or that trivial event. When I dream of things and they later happen I think that perhaps it is reassurance that I am on the right path.

I read a book about psychic vampires and am in the process of getting rid of a few from my life. It is proving very difficult because they have been in my life for years but enough is enough. Psychic vampires feel good at your expense. You don't really gain anything from relationships/friendships with these people as they leave you feeling drained and inferior. They take your power and the only w

Thanks for the responses. Richard - those images are very interesting. The object I saw initially appeared very different to those ones. Mine was much closer initially and had coloured lights visible from beneath the craft, until it stopped and the coloured lights disappeared leaving only white light. The whole thing then looked like a big star and gradually became smaller, perhaps because it be

Last night I was staying with relatives on a 50 acre bush property. I had trouble sleeping and at about 2:00 am in the morning I looked through the window, which can be done from bed and saw an aircraft seemingly travelling on a path which would see the craft travel over the cabin. BUT the craft stopped - it just stopped and hung there. It was close enough to distinguish light of different colou

I had a ghostly experience in the youth hostel in Salsbury, when I back packed around Britain in my 20s. I asked around and found out that the building in which I slept was a renovated army barracks hundreds of years old.

I have successfully experienced dowsing. When I was in my early twenties, a friend took myself and another young woman to meet one of his friend's mother. She was a white witch and lived in the mountains an hour from my city. She had just published a meditation book and tape. We were instructed to lie/lay (I am never any good at that verb - must have been away from school that week) on the floor

Ok - here's my chance to tell my alien story. Have been waiting for this for years. When my son was a baby of about 8months of age, he and I were visiting my parents in Sydney. We were sleeping in the same room - bed next to cot. In the early hours of the morning I was awoken my by son moaning in his sleep. I went straight to the cot and as I took a step towards it, I felt a sense that I had step

Hi Shirley, I haven't read 'Supernatural' yet but nevertheless found your post very interesting being descended from a very old Irish family. Apparently some land near the Burren shares the same name as my unusual surname - something to do with the pre christian kings marrying the land. As for rituals, I remember going to a very unusual Easter service one year held by an old Irish priest (we a

Hi Deb, I read a well researched novel by Colleen McCoullough and apparently a very old ghost from an unknown civilisation is often seen in Norfolk Island. He has unusual tattoos and clothing - nothing like that of any modern civilisation. Also, a relative of mine worked in a very old Sydney hospital on a site where there had been some bloody encounters during the early days of colonisation. A

I remember reading somewhere that twins who had been separated at birth and adopted out, when evaluated as adults, usually had a very similar bmi index thus indicating that appetite and ability to store fat are indeed genetic as opposed to being dependant on the habits of the parents. Not to say that one shouldn't exercise some control and discipline but each individual has unique parameters when

I just meant that it was an alternate form of discrimination - society in general always seems to need one current form of discrimination. In Australia sexual harrassment, sex based discrimination, racism, disabilities etc are covered under the Equal Opportunity act, but legally people can still be discriminated against because of their size - of course no one would admit it. I have one internet
