I don't fit neatly into either of your categories. I'm definitely not a Christian/Catholic, having washed my hands of that scene 35 years ago when I became an adult. I'm closer to the UFO approach, but my explanation of the whole UFO thang is "home-grown" so to speak with the UFOs being controlled by the same advanced hominid species that created homo sapiens and posed as the gods

I've been pursuing my Homo Divinus idea extensively on my subreddit, so I can give you an example of the golden child apparition still existing in the narrative in Catholicism. Charlemagne had a vision of a young Christ while praying in the Church of the Holy Sepulcre in 799, after which he was gifted the Holy Prepuce already enclosed in a reliquary, thankfully. I will be on the lookout for

I don't think Ferreira had much control over anything going on. Lucia was a brilliant strong-headed God-loving girl. She refused to tell secrets to Ferreira's superiors, so I don't see him having better luck.

For me, the issue is the depth of the meaning extracted from the experience. We have our surface experiences of temperature, pressure, light, etc. From those experiences, we extract meaning, such as "hot" or "cold" based on those surface experiences. These extracted meanings then become experiences which are layered on top of the surfaces ones, and we can then extract yet

QuoteBy the way, I managed to work out which post yours was responding to, but a quoted line at least of the post being responded to would be most helpful for me, because of my lack of any reading vision and having to use SuperNova software. Thanks for bring this to my attention, I will adjust my replies to you accordingly. I'm always happy to make minor adjustments to make life better for oth

Thank you so much for your effort. Unfortunately, I'm not any clearer as to the metric you use to sort "real world" from "fantasy world". You've got "faith" entwined with "objective facts" right at the start. We have already headed down totally different paths because for me, "faith" has absolutely NOTHING to do with "objective facts

Susan, Your comment here has me curious. QuoteThis is a 100% fantasy world you are depicting. The real world has its falts but it is a very good place when you see it and the human species for what it and we are. I confess I do not understand how you sort things into this "real world", "fantasy world", and everything else (for me, I simply have awarenesses of varying d

QuoteMythology is intuitive and approachable, but vague. Science is completely different. Connecting the two is mission impossible. Mythology may be a tool--and provide a path to personal enlightenment. Science is loaded with tools--but only indirectly provides limited personal enlightenment. I really wish people would tell me about these "mission impossibles" BEFORE I go and succ

I seriously question ANY of the established dating for India, SE Asia, Australia, and the islands. This looks to me like the same high quality machining we see in Ancient Egypt. My guess would be the same civilization did the construction in both areas, at roughly the same time (I date the construction many thousands of years prior to the accepted dates).

I agree 100% about the challenges of dealing with Fatima. The historical tangibility of Fatima (Woodrow Wilson was President) gives the event a very different resonance with people today, since there are people alive who were also alive then. What I think happened during the Miracle of the Sun is that a glowing UFO dropped beneath the cloud cover, which gave the appearance to those gathered t

Here's my take. The Younger Dryas event was the result of impacts on the ice sheets and across the rest of the Northern Hemisphere 12.8 kya. This is recorded in myth of Phaethon who crashed the Chariot of the Sun to Earth setting things ablaze, which is exactly what happened at the outset of the Younger Dryas. Here we go to Plato and Timaeus again: Quote"There have been, and will be

Setting aside the personal connection I make between AE and Australia, there is a fundamental underlying neurological reason behind the location/ritual combination. Memory is an extension of the motor system, and our memories are essentially encoded actions. This means the memories carry more meaning and are more self-reinforcing the more parts of the motor system which are employed in creati

Here's my take. I see everything in terms of Awareness. I have all these Awarenesses which I experience separated by space/time and need to try and understand enough to make use of them in my own propagation. Some of those Awarenesses happen only once instantaneously, while others propagate and sustain throughout my entire existence. The first and possibly most challenging understanding a

As you can tell, I 100% agree about the significance of Fatima. My mother was obsessed with Marian Apparitions, especially Fatima. I would put the very public mahasamadhi of Yogananda in 1952 as another modern spiritual events of very great significance. When I apply some "mindfulness" to my situation, some of the things I see are amazing. For example, much of the resistance to th

Lucia attended University and wrote extensive remembrances of the events and the children's lives. I know that the children could not read during one of the early Marian apparitions, either May or June, and were given the sole instruction of learning to read over the next month. I have full confidence that Lucia learned to read over that month, but I can't remember any reference to the other

When I Find Myself In Times of Trouble, Mother Mary Comes to Me Our Lady of Fatima Here I dip my toe into the wild woolly wonderful world of Marian Apparitions. There are many of these dating back 500 years, and there is much detail in each that I will unfortunately be glossing over. The three children saw a male angel several times starting in 1916 teaching them new prayers, sacrifice

I hope you found it interesting and enjoyable. That's a primary goal of mine. There is enough "painful and boring" in the world that I try very hard not to contribute to that part of Reality. I'm up for any sort of discussion, or none. It's all good to me. I agree, this is every bit as "sci-fi" as the original Original Sin from the Bible, or any other sort of mytholog

To Infinity, and Beyond! Homo divinus achieved immortality BEFORE they achieved morality. This has presented a real problem for them. Homo divinus achieved immortality almost 2 Mya, and created homo sapiens in the last few hundred thousand. Both species draw from the same sorts of bodies, the sames sorts of minds, with the same level of moral development. Immortality extended the pla

Very cool. The challenge I have is that most of these discussion presume as decided and left unspoken MY big concerns. One of my biggest is just what is an appropriate metric for "Morality". How does society objectively sort actions into either "Moral" or "Not Moral" categories. I see it little different than all those people trying to discuss abiogenesis wit

Ray, I hear what you are saying, but I've yet to hear anything at any level that I find starts to address what I see as the moral concerns. Until people start explaining the terms eugenics and race theory are similar and/or different than the current ones being bandied about, I'm not going to take any talk of morality discussions happening seriously. ANY discussion of how to handle these sor

Ray, Thanks for that. Enriquez's vision for humanity sound very much like the sequence I describe for the gods having happened already. I agree that this path is in homo sapiens' future, just as it was walked by homo divinus already. The part that I'm not hearing enough discussion about to make me comfortable is MORALITY. I'm uncomfortable as to ANY solution to the moral issues surroundi

Yep, this grotto (just like the others because each community in China at the time was required to have a grotto) was carved before the Great Flood 11.6 kya (how much before IDK). What I personally love about the art is the roughing-in of the background behind the figures to look like the rest of the machining in the cave. That sort of attention to detail and execution is the hallmark of a tr

Out of place (OOP) artifacts are a challenge to fit into any sort of scenario. Of course, once how they fit is understood they are no longer OOP, so that's kinda definitional, lol. An alternative for OOP artifacts which I find more reasonable than gene expression is evidence of time travel. Using time travel in the future to place those OOP artifacts OOP explains the data adequately. I'm no

Should the timing be right, I will. Timing is everything. I will be interested to see what, if anything, changes in my world view. I've had a lot of unusual experiences, many of which are extremely difficult to put into a linear sequence of words. I'm very familiar with ego death, which is only a sober touchstone away for me. I was surprised when I first found out that enlightenment came i

The Universe is certainly an entity, and I'm 100% on board with it being an intelligent entity. But I can't accurately apply my definition of "living" (as I use it to describe mammals, trees, bacteria, etc.) to the Universe. More than likely this is a definitional problem where our respective definitions of "living" do not align well and cause miscommunication.

I look like the average treadmill and I can act like the average treadmill anytime I want. This means that when people find out I'm NOT the average treadmill they feel blindsided and betrayed. I totally understand what you do, and have no issues whatsoever. My earliest memory is from not long before my second birthday, watching the soon-to-be NFL Champion Cleveland Browns play at Cleveland Stadium with Jim Brown running the football. I'm probably the youngest person who remembers watching a Browns championship team play live. I'm not sure if that is cooler than playing hide and seek in the afterlife. Probably not, but it's still pretty cool IMO

Of course Everything is an intelligent hologram. It's also Nothing, at the same time from a different POV. To be honest, I'm not sure how Scientific your question is, rather than philosophical. Enigcom is fundamentally correct about Dimensional Presence. My understanding and his are not totally in synch, but we both are exploring the same territory and I recognize familiar landmarks in hi

We definitely part company here. That makes things interesting. I see Science as examining those invariants all our subjective realms exhibit. We both have within our subjective realm the truth the New York City is in North America. OTOH, neither of us can examine the subjective experience of someone else. We might observe invariants related to their subjective experience, but we NEVER exa
