Hi Bruce, The Vedas tell us that there are as many material universes as there are in a full bucket of mustard seeds. And yet each of these universes are contained in the beads of perspiration from Maha Vishnu Kind Regards Karen

Hi Sue, The Vedas say that the human being is made of eight material elements. Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Space, Mind, Intelligence and False Ego. At death the soul is transported by the subtle body, at times referred to as the Astral body (comprising Mind. Intelligence and False Ego) as it transmigrates to its next body. As i understand it , the Astral Plane (fourth dimension) is made up of the

If the soul is eternal that is a very long time and would necessitate being either on other planets, other worlds or in other dimensions. In my research as a hypnotherapist i too have witnessed folk recount times not on this planet. The ancient Vedic texts have much to say on this subject. According to them we have all experienced higher lifeforms in other abodes. Kind Regards to all Karen

Hi Titus, As a little aside here, i was once talking to a matriarch berber lady in the Rif mountains of Morocco. Discussing her red hair, different language and customs from the Moroccan muslims, she told me that her race descended from islanders whose island sank a long time ago. And of course the berber language is a sister language to Ancient Egyptian.

Chris Dunn Hi Karen, It's an interesting concept. Certainly the boxes could be used for sensory deprivation. I'm doubtful that this was their original purpose, though. The optical precision on the insides of the boxes speak of a much more technical function, to me. However, it is always fun to exercise new ideas and who knows? Only the ancient Egyptians, and they're not saying much.... Karen Tay

As a firm believer in reincarnation (only partly due to my work as a hypnotherapist and clients spontaneously regressing into past lives) i often wonder how many of us are actually finding clues that we left for ourselves in the past. I too believe that the AE's ardently believed in it. To the degree that they left messages to themselves to be found in distant ages in the future. Not talking to

Thanks Titus, IMHO the transformation of consciousness was paramount to many ancient cultures. A pre-requisite for mystical/divine experience. Of course now science too is questioning how consciousness affects our 'reality' and quantum physics is beginning to explain what was once considered unexplainable. I have explored these questions for nigh on 35 years and am always happy to see the alch

Last night i went to sleep pondering on the sarcophagi of the Serapeum. This morning i woke up convinced they were an ancient form of a flotation tank. Sensory deprivation, flotation and darkness produce heightened states of consciousness. The dimensions of the sarcophagi allow for enough water to float in and for the initiate not to touch the sides of the tank. There is an ancient yogic form o

Correct me if i am wrong but i understand that Ancient Egyptian preists were strictly vegetarian. Only in later times was meat included in their diets. A vegetarian ideology was practised among religious groups in Egypt around 3,200BCE, with abstinence from flesh and the wearing of animal derived clothing based upon karmic beliefs in reincarnation. In many cultures the eating of flesh is cons

Hi Antoine, I have just returned from Italy and was very happy to see you here as AOM. As always your article is thought provoking, intruiging and full of knowledge. I have great respect for your enthusiasm, dedication and perspective. I would really like to get to the bottom of the ancients connection between snakes and knowledge/healing. We are aware of the snake being used symbollical

When i taught meditation i would have people observe their thoughts and see them as clouds. Some drift in as fluffy little light ones and others loom like big black thunder clouds. The art is to let them float by, but invariably folk get stuck with the big, black ones and i would have people notice how 'taking on' ,indulging in these thoughts they allow them to enter into their auras, bodies and

In the Vedic literature (Kaṭha Upaniṣad 1.3.3-4) it is said: âtmânaṁ rathinaṁ viddhi úarîraṁ ratham eva ca buddhiṁ tu sârathiṁ viddhi manaḥ pragraham eva ca indriyâṇi hayân âhur viṣayâṁs teṣu gocarân âtmendriya-mano-yuktaṁ bhoktety âhur manîṣi&am

In the “Brahma-Vaivarta Purana”, Lord Krishna tells Ganga Devi that a Golden Age will come in the Kali Yuga. This is said to last 10,000 years.

Hi Jason, I for one have met several people from these boards and a few have become firm life friends. In life i have learnt that the best way to teach or lead is by example, so here goes. I invite you or anyone here to visit my home town and meet up. Luckily i live in a stunningly beautiful village by the sea in the South West of England. Therefore surrounded by B and B's, campsites etc. Mayb

Perhaps it is more appropriate to say that 'behind' every negative emotion lies Fear. Anger, resentment. jealousy, etc all mask a fear of some description. Fear of rejection, fear of lack, fear of loneliness, fear of seperation, death, manipulation etc. In my work as a therapist i am always seeking the underlying fear and there is always a fear to be found. Kind Regards Karen

The path forward into bliss and peace is one of ever-increasing surrender. Sadly the western mind is conditioned to fight and surrender is a dirty word to many. ''We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” Teilhard de Chardin

Oh how i understand that paradox! In an ideal situation the best advice is not to give energy to the Fear. Mending a broken vase is useless. Far better to create a new vessel. To see the rays of the new dawn one has to keep ones chin up. Dejection and hoplessness can be the result of dwelling on the darkest hour before the dawn. The rays are there though, coming in strong. On the other hand so
