Not like a drunk, but like responsible people. We have even made one of the best systems in this world for our pensions. We have a tendency to look down on people from the past and prone to think they were stupit. We completely forget they were people like us, with the same brainpowers we do have: hey, they were our fathers and mothers......... It was them that made all of today possible, and they did it right: start at the beginnings, because they were the beginning.... :-)

Bodicea: I remember a part of Charmed ( oh yes I look that too!!!) in wich they did just that: bring her into real history ( well: in the series that is) but nevertheless they did just that. Thanks to such series

and how many millions died because of the ideas of this man? I would say: he is an important figure in history, but thanks to the incorporation of his ideas and the follow-up, I think we can place him in the part of the evil ones, not forgetting it was other people to implement his odeas with all the evil consequences. So: Good or evil he was human

The idea of taking metal sheets is not so far-out, but the way of making the text in the metal would be of a task. Stamp it, you have to make stamps first. Engraving , you have wear and tear, damage of scratching etc. A better way for surviving millenia than the use of paper...
