So Schiff can drop by from time to time. In times past, we sheltered Sun Yat Sen, as he battled Mao for China. We're up to the challenge. Of course, this story could--and should--be bogus (even if the China part is true). I've lived through multiple assassinations--and attempts--some right here in SOCAL. To most of us who've lived here our whole lives this is a very sad occasion.

They're not around here, Pete, much, if at all. The protesters at UCI last year were Islamic, not Antifa. One of them was a former Doctoral Student--and he sent me a video. The most recent LA downtown adult protesters were schoolteachers The ones last week were the Greta Thunberg revolution--high school kids. Ray

154. Sure
Pete, Thomas, Good statement, and I agree. Where do these Antifa come from? They've not appeared here in SOCAL. Remind me of the "Weathermen" faction that split off from SDS during the anti Viet Nam war protests--who were the real deal. At my University, we didn't even have a representation of the SDS--let alone the Weathermen. When I was part of the marches on Washingto

155. Thanks
That helps, Pete, for that incident, but not for the broader sense of what's happening in Canada. There were several apologies--which is good. How much conflict like this is going on? These Intifa remind me a bit about the "weatherman" anti Viet Nam war faction--they were, or became, criminals: Are the Intifa like that? Ray

It's Donald--and he's unraveling, Pancho: QuoteWhat struck me as amazing wasn’t just Trump’s unraveling, but also the larger context: the scandal that’s likely to lead to his impeachment is barely two weeks old. New revelations come to the fore practically every day, and each do more damage to the president, his standing, and his credibility. If Trump is melting down now, what will his emot

QuoteDaniel Patrick Moynihan, the late senator from New York, once warned of the danger of “defining deviancy down,” in which worse and worse behavior comes to be accepted as the norm. This explains much about how Trump — whose company has been linked with everything from housing discrimination to outright fraud — has gotten away with so much. His standards are low; his ethics, nonexistent. And y

158. Wrong guy
Barack did not make a fortune on the streets of Chicago, Lyle Before the White House, he went to an elite high school academy in Hawaii, then Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard Law school. In Chicago, he taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago before being elected Senator and then President. Not a lot of time to learn street deals and street culture--though he saw the problem

It's taught in school, and most of us have lived through one. You're obviously lost, Pancho. The current impeachment process has been outlined and is being discussed in the media. Google or turn on the tube. You will have a chance to follow proceedings daily. Most foreigners are on top of it as well--since it is being carried world wide--but may not be fully grounded in the process.

He's done it all his life: get dirt on a competitor, quid pro quo--always reward your source handsomely. He first did it with his Republican rivals--ending with "Lying Ted" Cruz--but brought them back, in part, with hatred of the Clintons materials (the quid), and a role/job in his new Presidency (the quo). He knew they wouldn't sink that low themselves; It went agains

Won't help much in understanding American government systems--especially if you get your guidance from a college dropout like Alex Jones, Dean. We don't have provinces; we don't speak French; we're not part of the commonwealth; and we don't know much about hockey. But we can and do occasionally impeach sitting Presidents--like Donald. Ray

Even the earliest cultures had semi-formal symbolic conventions: some stood for sounds; some stood for spatially salient environmental features in abstract form. When the culture became big enough in number and diverse enough in specialization, a group was given responsibility for standardizing the communication using spatial distinctive features that corresponded to aticulatory distictive fea

finds a corn once in awhile, Allan. Mike doesn't need secret sources--doesn't have to worry about being misled. It will all come out in the bipartisan House impeachment hearings. We'll all have access to the same information--we'll be able to watch the hearings on TV!! Ray

Better take that class, Pancho. Just look what happened with Clinton in the House. Starr report--vote. No hearings. Lawrence Tribe posted alternative plan that would allow for trial like procedure--all in the house. Take the course. Ray

Scchiffhiff's my representative, Eddie, More a Republican than a Democrat. I've met him. Kind of tough and stiff. Liar? Shuts out the minority party? not Schiff. He's a bit like Comey. McCarthy needs to look in the mirror Remember when he leaked confidential house documents to the White House? Ray

but, in my listening and performing experience, I can't imagine much musically before the Renaissance in the West--and about the same time period in India. I did study ancient India once, but I never went there. I did have someone teach me about classical ragas--and demonstrate. I found the ragas amazing. Ray
