Conspiracy fanatics demanding that those who believe there was no 911 conspiracy, back up their stance with evidence. What nonsense. The onus is on those believers in a conspiracy to present evidence that has been tested, tells a cogent tale, is consistent and is not based on soundbites from a whole bunch of different sources. You believers in a conspiracy should consider holding a forum or conve

Thanks for the many interesting and in some cases amusing posts on the topic I started on 'Time'. There are a few things that continue to fascinate me, one of which is the night sky to put it simply. On a clear night you can see, probably, many thousands of stars with the naked eye and however many more depending what type of telescope might be used. Anyway, what really bends my mind is this:

Thanks for your responses. much appreciated. Carol mentions 'the present', that is another thing that has always fascinated me; how long does the present last for? How miniscule is the timespan, if there even is a timespan. What really interests me is the idea that we really live in the past i.e. by the time you are aware of things or something that has happened it is already part of your past. M

Evils psycho SOBs will use any dogma to justify their barbarism - ISIS, villagers like in this case, North Korean prison camps, the Khmer Rouge back in the day to name but some. They are beasts They should be rounded up like beasts and exterminated like beasts. I would be more than happy to help with that.

Just some thoughts I've had on time itself. Question, does a centimetre exist? Does a metre exist? A mile? The point is that these things exist only as a way of measuring something else, they have no existence of their own. Time measures how long it takes objects in motion (from the infinitesimal to the huge) to move from one position to another or to expand or to grow smaller...any motion anywhe

A bit of an assumption but atheists do not believe in God or a supreme being, but do they rule out any subsequent existence after death? Religious beliefs appear to only focus on one possible version of an afterlife - keep your nose clean for your lifespan and you get to live forever in heaven. No wonder so many people think of it as nonsense. However, when you consider the non-physical propertie

Regarding lack of contact, or at least provable lack of content. I was reading an article the other day that discussed the distance from Earth to our nearest star, Proxima Centauri. It is estimated to be about 4 light years from Earth. Using Voyager II as an example, its speed is a fraction under 36,000 mph - very, very, fast but of course a fraction of the speed of light, given that 36,000 mph i

At least she is not one of those sky pilots who talk personally to God every day, who have turned Jesus from a hippy into Rambo, who believe that The Flintstones is a documentary, who believe that the anti-christ is in the White House, who preach that LGBTs want to make b*gg*ry compulsory for all, who believe that the end times are here, who think that liberals are demons, who think black liberal

Human created is the obvious first impression and despite the fact there are so many wonderful and intricate crop circles, the majority still believe that they are human made. I have no argument with that. However, a slight doubt in my mid is, where are all the failed or incomplete crop circles? I'm assuming that crop circle makers don't fly their own planes over them to take pictures. And second

Hot d*mn Morfed you've convinced me! Now, any ideas how I contact these non-homo sapient beings? I want to ask them for one of those hovercars like in Star Wars. Aliens do all sorts of advanced s**t so a hovercar should be easy. I also want to ask them if it would be OK to have s*x with any of the alien females especially those with just the one head and no tentacles. Many thanks.

If the human brain comes from intelligent design then he made a pretty poor job of it. The brain is susceptible to all sorts of mental illness (too many to list here). Alzheimer and dementia, why would God allow those conditions to exist? Delusions Phobias Paranoia Terrible desires and the willingness to hurt people (and kids!!!) to satisfy their needs These are just some examples of what the b

How does creatures that live at the bottom of the deepest oceans or even below that relate to creationism? If he created the earth and all the creatures in, what's the point of creating creatures that man can never see or control and that have no effect on mankind?

So we were created by God, "designed exactly after the Lords own body". Well, if that is true, then he must have been having a bad day when he took the plunge. So let us use your statement to see if we can get a clearer picture of God's body and mind. 1) Is he black? White? Asian? Aborginal? Arabic? Martian? 2) Does he design the Earth (and us) so that we will freeze our a$$es off in w

MJT, perhaps no-one there isn't a Mensa test written in Dolphinese. Perhaps I should put it another way; if, as Christians insist, that God has made us in his own image, then that makes no sense. Assuming God is real then he must be perfect. If we are made in his own image then something do not add up. Either we're as perfect as it gets (can I get a Hallelujah?) or God is not as perfect as they

I don't understand how people can argue in favor of intelligent design when it's pretty obvious that whoever designed us was not particularly intelligent. We're not very robust. We break easily. We are vulnerable to all sorts of diseases and infections - were they intelligently designed too? Our minds start to fall apart when we reach a certain age and we are continually beset by doubts, fears, n

In my opinion, atheists or less devout believers do not necessarily focus on whether gods exist or not but rather those who lve on Fantasy Island. By far the most primitive, backward looking people are those fanatical christians that pick and choose from the bible to support their arguments and conveniently ignore the rest of the rules and regulations in the bible that does not suit their agenda

"So I did al my reseacrh from behind my desk, using the Bible only. My biggest money spending was on coffee." Ah, the Bible. Font of all wisdom and knowledge. I can see that you only use the most accurate and proven research sources for your fascinating conclusions. I would like to ask a biblical expert like yourself a question about something in Genesis that has puzzled me for years.
