Thanks for the reply, here are some Astronaut quotes. One has a different perspective from out there in space. GENE CERNAN. I felt that I was standing on a platform somewhere in outer space, that science and technology had allowed me to get too but now what I was seeing and even more important what I was feeling. At that moment in time science literally has no answer for because there I was an

Hi Tom glad you liked the vid. Todd is brilliant but can sometimes be a bit too experimental and so I don't have all his albums. I hope it doesn't seem I am getting at you by being critical of some of your posts, you are a true seeker, but there is a simplicity in all of us, a core that is 'Life itself' we can enjoin with it through the Pranayama, breathing, focusing on the life force constantl

Hi Yve, Norfolk certainly is a beautiful area and those beaches! We have family in Devon so we always head south, but I should like to do the 'Broads' sometime. So you like Todd, I think I have most of his albums going back to Wizard a true star, it was a funny little venue in Norwich down a back street just off the centre of town it only held about 100 people, he was on fine form, such a friendl

So you read an ancient text translated through possibly 3/4 languages and got confused, sounds about right, especially the old testament. There are 300 versions (groups/sects) of the bible all seem to read it in a different way, this is because they have no really deep experience to base their judgement on. Book reading has helped the communication of material/physical knowledge of the world to g

You should look up 'Reiki' healing Tom. I have experienced it and was offered training but I have a different path in my life. There was a feeling of heat from the hands of the practitioners, it felt good and helped my aches and pains a bit. We must always remember the placebo effect though when looking at health care we tend to react well to attention and care anyway. Here a link. Reiki

I Love Rumi too, He symbolizes the true path of Islam, one of Love. So you live in big sky country haven't been over that way since going to see Todd Rundgren in Norwich some years ago. I was taught Bhakti Yoga in the Gujarati community in Leicester way back in the 70s and music was integral to the gatherings and wonderful Food! So I developed a taste for Indian music and Food, lol. “You seek knowledge from books. What a shame! ... You are an ocean of knowledge hidden in a dew drop Return to yourself, oh heart! For from the heart a hidden road can be found to the Beloved. If the world of the six directions has no door, then come to the heart -- you can make a door. Come into the heart, the place of contemplating God! Though it is not so now, it can be made so.” Rum

So there isn't one Eddie, I didn't think you would find a Nietzsche book on the inner light blue or other any other colour. So from your previous post we are left with 'Will to Power'. There is a book of that name but it was written by his sister Elisabeth Förster-Nietzsche! He spent the last years of his life in a catatonic state the last couple years under the care of his sister, before dying

Hi Tom, Nice to see The Martian Chronicles mentioned. For myself the best part of the story is the Blue Orbs/Spheres,apart from the guy trying to find a partner, finding the Bimbo, but being happy with the robots in the end. I a m sure you will remember it - some Episcopalian missionaries led by Father Peregrine travel to Mars to save the souls of the natives by converting them to Christianity

I will have go at this huge and complex topic. There is a process or should I say discipline that does work in this regard but we have to do it for ourselves. Modern science cannot help in this endeavour, just as it cannot explain the taste of an apple, you have to eat one for yourself, then and only then can one 'KNOW' the taste of an apple. We are what is conscious but we don't know what th

Here is a report from the The last words of the late, much-lauded and much-quoted Steve Jobs have been revealed after the Apple co-founder died at the age of 56. Jobs, who once memorably described death as "very likely the single best invention of life", departed this world with a lingering look at his family and the simple, if mysterious, observation: "Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow.&quo

Hi Ray, I cant stop my heart forces me too do what I can. If we give Love, we open our hearts and so we can give more Love and in giving Love I am completed, I become a true human being. Shame the world has forgotten this and listens to a message of hate and greed. If we helped people in poor countries they wouldn't need to emigrate, the UK is buying a Trident missile system it will cost £30-40 b

Hi Drew, The fact that you posted this Topic shows you are aware and you care, that's more than most. They are trapped in a game that they don't control, every things value is measured in money, we are forced to be consumers, we are damaging our habitat, our environment and our children's future. Hi Drew, that is 2 very good topics you've posted recently. I have not responded because you touch so many relevant points I wouldn't be able to keep it short enough for a post. The present malaise on this planet, the complex relationship of these multiple problems is daunting and where do we even start. Hi Ray, I have to ask, do you agree with Pence, that people don't need a doctor but if they go to church they will get Jesus care and their illness will go away? I have a friend who developed MS 20 yrs ago she has over that time gradually lost the use of her body, she now has just a bit of strength in her left hand and can move her head. Her sister a devout Christian took her to Lourdes for th

Hi Ray, You are trapped in a system just like me I understand that. The study of the cancer patients though is so beautiful, their lives changed, they have understood the difference between life and existence, some may find this truth, its a shame they will be probably be hours/minutes from deaths door. Be careful Ray you don't become a member of the Scientism club. What a sheltered life you have led, I have found in every walk of life, if you are an employee its always the employer who benefits the most. You didn't mention funding Ray what do these 'real scientists' do if there field of study is not supported? Who do they have to do a dance for, to get the funding? But lets not go to far into t

QuoteCan Science--empirical science--provide an explanation for your spiritual experiences? Hi Ray, No, nothing explains it completely. Quote Or, can empirical science serve as a foundation for Religion--or any deeper understanding of the meaning of life for you? If we look at natural human experience there is one science that has and does offer reasonable data to some difficult questions,
