Stanton Friedman has written a terrific article about the recent ABC special on UFOs, hosted by Peter Jennings, in the current issue of UFO Magazine (US). He doesn't pull his punches...lol :)

QuoteAdding to the atmosphere, a third member of their team has identified a part of the shroud's markings as that of blood from a human male. No one has conclusively determined how the markings got on the linen, but they appear in bas relief in a perfect negative image. Experts have entertained theories that the markings came from paint, scorching, or accelerated aging. Victor V. Tryon, PhD, a

I'm not disagreeing with you. I was just saying that Christians weren't the only ones being persecuted by the Romans. It could be argued, though, that Christians in the Empire were breaking the law by refusing to practice the state religion(s) and by not acknowledging the emperor as divine (no doubt many others were punished for this too). Not condoning it, just seeing it from the Roman perspect

QuoteThe lunch break was devoted to executions of criminals who had committed particularly heinous crimes—murder, arson, sacrilege (the Christians, for example, were considered to be guilty of sacrilege and treason, because they refused to participate in rites of the state religion or to acknowledge the divinity of the emperor). The public nature of the execution made it degrading as well as pa

Wasn't early Christianity just Christianity 'in name only' anyway? Seeing as how the first Christian Roman Emperor, Constantine, still worshipped Sol Invictus. It's all politics in the end and nothing really to do with Jesus, God etc.

While I was a fan of Lewis Hamilton last season, I've gone off him completely this year. I howled with laughter when he ran into the back of Raikonnen in Canada and cheered as Kubica took the win and the lead in the championship. :)

Jagshemash! Borat is makings the waves with his blockbusterings of a movie called Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. I think we should all be seeings this movie, if only for the pleasantry of the viewings of him's sister, who is number four prostitute in whole of Kazakhstan. Is Nice! Also if we not see Borat movie, he will be execute. Is not so

Seeing as it was Paramount that dumped him and Star Trek is a Paramount franchise, I think it might be a long shot. About the next film being a prequel about a young Kirk and Spock, I think it will be a disaster and might bury the franchise for good. Either have a film set between the Archer - Kirk years or have it in the TNG-DS9-VOY timeline. But that's just me

We call soft drinks 'pop' in the UK, so it's obviously the States that haven't graduated to the proper term. :) Round our neck of the woods, we call the bathroom 'the bog'. Most appropriate after I've been, I tell you...lol :D

What to do? Drink pop with buckets of sugar in and get fat and die of heart disease, or drink sugar-free, low-calorie pop that has aspartame which has been shown to cause tumours in lab rats... I'll stick with water.. but hang on, that's got fluoride in it, which makes us docile etc. Perhaps I should just drink my own wee... :) Maybe not...

Excellent film. It reveals the truth about what is going on today, which is probably why it got such bad reviews in the mainstream media.

You could try getting hold of some data recovery software. There's one called BadCopy that's pretty good (although I've only used it for recovering data from dodgy CDs/DVDs). I think it can do hard drives as well, but not sure. Failing that, you could always take the drive down to your local computer shop and see if they can do anything with it...
