I think that the people very eagerly follow the clerics gene, because the clerics are the supposed educated and literate people of a pedominantly illiterate society, so what they say goes! Even uneducated clerics supposeddly know more than the average uneducated person on ther basis of religious knowledge superceding common sense. The epitome of blind leading the blind. ~ bazz

Indeed gene ~ Jesus said "know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." He didn't say "know the facts...blah blah blah..." David lamond wrote in "The Importance of memory" post the following which beautifully describes the "knowledge vs understanding" concept ~ "An ass which turns a millstone did a hundred miles walking. When it was loosed it fou

Hi Gene ~ I feel that what you say is only partially true becaus~ 1] The supposition is based upon the believe that ancient cultures/religions know more or better than we do now. 2] Education has never solved any problem in history. Rather I feel that innovation solves problems. The intuitive part of our being is the spiritual part. The intellectual part of our being impares the intuitive. Not o

If we find the secret of life we will surely then know any secrets of death. The secret of life, I believe, is the direction in which we should focus our thoughts and attention. If there is a secret of death, it is life itself, and that life is eternal, and not dependendant upon a vessel to contain it (body). ~ Bazz

"What is to be shrunken is first stretched out; What is to be weakened is first made strong; What will be thrown over is first raised up; What will be withdrawn is first bestowed." - Tao Te Ching 36 ~ The Tao quote given alludes to far more than a "rubber band" soul metaphor. It may even allude to the washing of one's clothing! You can read meaning into anything you wish, if

modern psychology, which indeed does indicate that most people are divided, that most of us suffer from some degree of neurosis. ~ The question remains where such divison lies. As Pavlov pointed out, conditioning creates the necessary tensions which present as "neurological disorders", of which psychosis is but one (albeit very recognisable). It is not an inherant condition, but a cond

The binary soul doctrine suggests that most of us (pretty much everyone except our holy men, etc.) suffer from some degree of neurosis. ~ How broad and sweeping can your generaisations be? Holy men are exempt from nothing, Peter. I can only think of the Dali Lama as one not suffering some psychological/emotional disorder. Other than him, there aren't too many more. Given that religious dogmati

Perhaps you misinterpreted Peter~ The point I attempt to make here is that only one energistic life force exists within us (arbitrarily nominated "consciousness"), although it is actuated through perceptual devices that can be viewed as dualistic, ie left/right hemipheric thinking, conscious/subconscious etc. The bodily components that this energy utilises in order to function at the m

How can one be certain that the inner division is not between the physical and the spiritual? One of the basic conflicts encountered by humankind throught history is the conflict between our spirituality and our human-ness, often fought on the religion fed battle fields of sexuality vs celibacy, morality vs greed, sin vs truth. How is it that we see 'ancients' as more spiritually knowledgeable t

Your drivel is the waste of badwidth because you don't have sufficient imtelligence to communicate on a level above the self righteous presumptions you get away with in virtual reality. Pity you can't connect with reality. You may be surprised with the freedoms found in the real world. Give your over inflated ego a break ~ it's been going overtime for how long now? ~ Bazz

Hi Magdalen (Mary?) ~ the bible story of Jesus and family is indeed to be found in the Koran. The Koran also acknowledges family lineages of Abraham etc as well as our friends Gabriel and Michael Arch Angels. Because the Koran should not to be interfered with by mankind, it is rare to find a concordant edition which would allow such cross-referencing as you require. My advice would be for you to

Being a 'moderator of another board' makes you nothing and you remain so. You're nothing other than a volunteer and that obviously has no bearing on intellectual ability ~ as you so eloquently put it in your outstandingly brilliant response announcing "piss off - are you a moderator?" which highlights both your intellectual incompetence and delusion of grandeur, something that escapes

Steve ~ your post is self pompously presumptuous. Forum discussion must be egalitarian, which is prerequisite to free and equinanimous discussion. If people who post in this forum are "the masse that cannot be satisfied" as you so put it, just who do you think you are? Superior to "the masses"? You may have simply said "Let them eat cake!" Given your stated superiori

There's so much dis-information in that article it makes you wonder what the motives of the author are. The background data on him says nothing other than giving a number of accusations he's made over time which is (surprise surprise) unreferenced and unsubstantiated allegation. My opinion is that If you seriously believe that, you'll seriously believe anything! Take for instance this following

I think if there is a need for editing, it should be on the basis of agenda. It seems to me that in the politicking that obviously takes place, there are some who abuse the priveledge of free speech in open forum to push prejudiced or biased agenda's. Sometimes this is surreptitiously done by way of opening topics that allude to, but don't state, the prejudice/bias, and other times it is quite ov

Hi Ahmed ~ I've got the Sedona tape series and have used them. They are indeed excellent. There is no analysis of emotions, just "releasing" of their negative effects. It is remarkably simple yet remarkably effective. By releasing the negative feelings, we effectively open ourselves to receive the positives that were blocked by those negative feelings. I have since incorporated the unde

You are so arrogantly self-righteous it's frightening! Self-opinionated people such as yourself are inimical to freedom ~ freedom of thought, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom from persecution, freedom of assembly. That's some theologically secular presumption you make there gene! If, as you say, we must "Accept one hundred percent the reality of a spiritual dimension,", then we must also accept that it is populated with spiritual beings which can and do interfere with the actions and mental processes of people. You might term suchlike "the wiles of satan" as commonly accepted. How can y

Information on Azazel (Eziezel) can be found in satanic material, but you don't want to go there, right? The satanists invoke Ezeizel in their rituals in the same way (more correctly opposite way) that christians invoke Archangel Michael. He's satans right hand man in that context. I have encountered this evil spirit in my previous dealings with a survivor of satanic ritual abuse (as a therapist)

His books are three times the price of any other similar publication, which irks me no end, because if his ideas are indeed for the purpose of exposing some terrible conspiracy, why aren't his books more readily affordable?
