I couldn't do it and local news cut out 5 minutes in. I guess they couldn't handle it either. He was either drunk or stoned, and that's the good news.

How many have died from withdrawal? That's not a rhetorical question. It's perfectly serious.

And empathy and intelligence. Whatever his flaws, he was not a sociopath. He loved his family dearly and was capable of having real friendship.

You do understand that herd immunity doesn't mean the virus magically disappears, right? The only reason we eradicated smallpox was because humans were the only reservoir and we had a mass vaccination campaign. C19 is zoonotic, so good luck with that. We do not know yet how long immunity lasts, if at all. The T cells may be more important than antibodies. I posted the math on this. Are you

Good. That's assault. There's a story out of Florida (why is it always Florida?) where an immunocompromised child who had survived cancer died of Covid because her mother took her to a coronavirus party with 100 other children. I'll bet real money they had no vaccinations, either.

If working from home saves them a few million in overhead and increases productivity, not many (good) managers will care if someone takes 20 minutes to cut the grass. They'll be doing the same thing. Edit: Paul has a thread on the Science board about time confusion with so many people at home and out of their routine. Last Friday, I was just getting to the office when my other half calls.

Didn't we have a similar thread a couple of months ago? Cities are not natural. At least, not to me. One good thing about people being home is that a lot of them are re-connecting with nature. Gardening, bird watching, rock collecting, long walks in the woods. Some people are getting back to our roots and we're going to be better for it. I still have to go to the office everyday.
