Interesting - AND close to home! Contestants and their fans will converge in Montreal on October 27, 2010 for the first ever laughter competition — Le Grand Championnat de Rire de Montreal. Comedy contests are common, however this will be the world’s first televised laughing contest. The contest was inspired by my documentary Laughology, currently distributed by The Disinformation Company, in wh

I am an ex-JW carol. Honestly, the best way is to tell them you are "dis-fellowshiped" (i.e. a former JW who was excommunicated).... and proud of it lol :-P They'll flag your house and let others know not to come back. At least where Im from thats how they work anyways. Cheers J

HA??!! That is hilarious! "Fans were shocked earlier today with the unexpected release of Richard Dawkins new book: "My life with the Faeries". When asked how this impacted a belief in god he replied "I just don't like being told what to do?" :-P J

I'll add lastly that I believe in God every Thursday for 3 hours. I believe the theory of evolution Monday through Saturday and entertain the idea that we may be the imagination of ourselves expressed through the mind of a purple umbrella monster that lives in a giant chocolate bar, from 3:30-3:45 on Sundays. The rest of Sunday is spent not thinking about any of this at all lol. Cheers! J

Hi Susan, First it being said that although we don't see eye to third eye on several different issues, I've always respected your insistence on critical thinking an analysis. Im of the feeling however that like fundamentalism, Atheism takes an equal opposite fall in its exclusivity and absolutism. How its so common for people to convert from high frenzied Christianity for instance, to high frenz

I think you're confusing Pure Logic with the Scientific Method, Very nicely said Deep.. "Pure" logic can be as much of an intellectual fallacy as any mode of cognitive processing. Westerners are trapped in an Aristotelian paradigm that has hijacked the full scope of brain potential through its software constructs. Logic is only one of the scaffolding's to a higher vantage.

Interesting. We talked about Mr. Yorke here on the message boards before and I think the musicians here generally respect the guy... If we thought it was hard to make it before?? lol.. :-S QuoteYorke has now issued a warning to upcoming artists, urging them not to sign traditional record deals because they would be tying themselves to "the sinking ship."

Wild?! I thought we were making progress... QuoteUPDATE: Good news. The gutless, carbound racists lost, and the mural is being restored to its "original theme." Jeff Lane, the principal of Miller Valley Elementary School, and Kevin Kapp, the school superintendent, showed up at a protest today to apologize for giving in to whims of mentally deranged adults, spewing racial epithets at a

As a musician I was involved in organizing a benefit for Haiti last month. But I have thought multiple times about volunteering a soup kitchen without ever actually going. I concur with Deep that this kind of thing really does hit a nerve and it is rewarding.

A Columbian breakfast - and to my somewhat surprise its quite good. Although the exact recipe I used is with a former roommate its fun and vegetarian friendly. I found this recipe but I'll explained the changes to mine: Although the flavor formula is essentially the same in the recipe through the link above, what I fashioned was essentially an onion soup, with the main difference being th
