Thanks Anne-Marie, I appeciate your help. The image you directed me to shows only the side of the Giza Plateau that the existing Sphinx is on. I was hoping for one that also shows the other side of the plateau 180 degrees behind the Sphinx and on the other side of the middle pyramid. Again, however, I do appreciate your help. Thanks.

In 'Heaven's Mirror', hardcover, published in Canada in 1998 by Doubleday by arrangement with Penguin Books, UK, I was scanning ahead looking at some of the photographs by Santha (excellent photos by the way) and I noticed on pages 69 and 111 the photos of what I believe is a pharaoh standing dressed in a type of skirt (don't know the actual name of the item of clothing). This skirt struck me as

In "Heaven's Mirror", hardcover, published in Canada in 1998 by Doubleday by arrangement with Penguin Books, UK, on page 146 (lower left) and page 147 (lower left) are pictures of twin Sphinxes which bracket Sokar riding on a winged serpent. In this area of the book Graham suggests that this picture and the texts describing it link it to the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx. Is it p

214. Re: 666
Instinct: Though I'm not trying to scare anyone it should be noted that if the beast was born when the population passed through 6,002,020,206 then that would mean that the beast is alive on earth today and it is only a matter of time before it comes into its power (i.e. the beast has to grow into a man before its power comes to fruition).

215. Re: 666
I'd like to throw in my two cents worth on this. What if you write out the number the way it is written: eg. six hundred=600 three score=202020 six=6 Then you get: 6002020206 or 6,002,020,206 Could this possibly be the number of people alive when the beast is born on the earth (the beast being the 6,002,020,206th person)? It being the point at which the ever increasi

Perhaps water was channeled in to surround the pyramid to give the appearance of land emerging from the waters, i.e. to symbolically represent "the first time" = Zep Tepi (I think thats the proper words). Anyway, just a thought.

It would have been somewhat more impressive (perhaps) and interesting to see a colour photograph of the 9 foot mummies with a known measured reference of some sort in the picture. Definitely not conclusive, but more impressive and interesting. Devin

Did anyone bother to read the disclaimer at the beginning of the website. I think it will enlighten you.

Hi Debbie Thanks for the link to your site. I just took a quick look but will peruse it more when time is convenient. Also good luck on your endeavors at these locations. I was looking some more at the picture in the first link you posted in this thread and noticed what appear to be ridges/walls(?) that skirt the smallest of the three pyramids. These ridges/walls (?) seem to encompass at least

Thanks for the link Debbie. BTW, how does one link here or post pictures? Is there a code key for this, etc? I was also wondering how hard it would be to use a ground penetrating radar/sonar apparatus to check for underground anomalies in the afore mentioned area of interest? Does anyone have any info on this or whether or not someone has already checked this area or is doing any digs at this a

I noticed in Figs 1 and 4 that there are two Sphinxes shown, one facing East and one West. In Fig 4 they look as if one would be on each side of the pyramidal structure located above. I wounder if in fact this could represent the actual case and that there may be a second Sphinx located on the westen side of the middle pyramid (burried in the sand) that looks to the West? Do you know if any ex

Thanks Archae Solenhofen. Very interesting read. I wounder if the statues were put there at some later time in order to associate the later phaeroahs with the sphinx in some way?

Hi all, Does anyone know what the square structures on each side of the sphinx are (sorry I don't have any pictures)? They are right behind the "elbows" of the front paws of the sphinx (if memory serves me right). Are they pedestals for statues that have been removed or have fallen down? Does anyone have any info/links on this. Thanks Devin

Question: Is it possible that the AEs saw the Milkyway (seen to the left of Orion when looking to the South) as the source of the Nile and that it was therefore responsible for the annual flooding due to it's alignment in the sky with the Nile on the ground? Just a thought.

Pete: If the "Friends of Khufu" were a work gang in charge of the positioning of of the relief stone and the writing was so that they would know it was assigned to them to position it. Then is there other evidence of these types of labeling/assigning of stones to them or other work gangs in the GP or other pyramids in general and do you have any links that show pictures of this labelin

Hey R Avry Wilson Maybe Khufu was a baaaaaad pharaoh and the southern shaft was to send him to the Egyptian version of hell, i.e. that hot ball of fire in the sky. Lol.

Does anyone find it curious that for a "live show" where no one supposedly had seen what was on the other side of the block there was so little time left in the "two hour" program to explore whatever "unknowns" may have been behind this block. I would have thought for a "live show" National Geographic would have left more time in their broadcast to explore

I posted this on an earlier thread about moving the pyramid blosks. I think people had moved on to other threads so I'll post it here again and hope for feedback: "Author: degiem1 (---.accesscable.net) Date: 03-Aug-02 01:33 For starters I thoroughly enjoyed reading the postings presented here and, in the process of reading, a few questions have occured to me: 1. For starters I thoroughly enjoyed reading the postings presented here and, in the process of reading, a few questions have occured to me: 1. In all the calculations I've read I haven't noticed anyone make mention of how much time, men and materials it would take to build the ramps the AE's would need in order to get the blocks up to the top of the ever increasing height of the pyramid under cons

"The Sphinx was first. It has no precusor, so what can you compare it against? The other statues were not carved from a natural outcropping of rock, which could easily set limits on what they could carve and how they would go about it." I'm somewhat confused by your statement here Pete. Are you saying that the AE's carved the body of the sphinx first and then said "Oh sh!t, we don
