I'm putting up a link here to a flowchart to show how a New Age "wow" was built from Welsh roots. If I could master placing the doc. itself here, I would. But it's beyond my understanding. Put it on imgur, it reads. Did that. Then 2 options. Can make neither work (although obviously others find it easy).
What I try to do is demonstrate how documents were collected by C17th and

Other than Geoffrey of Monmouth's identification with Salisbury/old Sarum and the so-named Chuch Stretton site, does any know of any other possible and plausible location for this or these?
Thanks

Well, it's so strange, really. Most of my compatriots from the 2000s seem to have died or have withdrawn from posting. Newbies should trawl those years: they were rich in ideas and people contributing. A few went on to publish.
Gary Osborn was onesuch. One of his oppos, Don Barone, seems to have retired. Shame. Don was a stickler for accuracy ('cept when he had a brainstorm). Bless!

Hi Don. I revisited Atalanta Fugiens. I found that - if you accept the Maier "constraint" (that one end of the dividers rests on the very centre of the larger circle) then the angle is just over 22.5 degrees and it ain't Mercury (by 100 or so miles). If you don't accept the Maier constraint it gets worse: using Gary's figures - and letting the scale be 1 : 720 miles - Mercury will b

If the large circle really does represent the earth, the whole thing about the inner square and circle - "Mercury" to some - depends on whether the geometer's dividers rest (one leg) on the exact centre of the larger circle. Which it seems to. And on whether that pyramid picks out the tops of the "Moon" square.
The maths can be simply (indficatively) done on a 14 X

Hi - thanks for that. Can't remember if I replied to this elsewhere. But there's a plaque on the Cilgwyn stone saying moved (from Beili-Glas) in 1825.
My bright shiny all new blog (thanks again, Luke!):
Current sites of interest I'm looking at? Gors Fawr and Temple Druid.

2.621684 + Phi squared? Close - but 2.618033989 ... would be more accurate. Etc.

Interesting idea. Are not all the other planets (and sun) just too big to fit to this model? Mars, say would need a square circa-5.85 sided.

Have you looked at Atalanta Fugiens XX1?
You may choose to notice that Maier set an implicit rule: the compass points are a perfect radius. When Gary first looked at this, his (quite inspirational) idea was to incorporate Maier into the Bonnie Gaunt/John Michell Earth-Moon idea:
I'm not sure who precedes who here, Gaunt or Michell - but Gary superimposed Maier on the th

Gives 3030 (like some others) BUT
Gives (like many more sites!) Gary's 3032.
The 11 X 14 grid construction appears to be a casualty.

Also carried by Ahatmose (Don Barone), Gary himself et al.
I remember this was originally created on an 11 x 14 grid, a diagonal of which can be expressed as 1.272727 ... Close to Pi (1.273239 ... aka 4/Pi, the Pi tan). Each grid box side is 720 miles. So Moon 2160, Earth 7920 and Mercury 3024 values. /720 = 3, 11 and 4.2. Firstly note that Moon + Mercury = 5184 (72 squared) ... which i

By-the-by, my friend Martin mentioned there were a number of recesses in the inside walls of the building of the same same as this gothic-arched stone.

Thanks - must admit I'm flip-flopping back and forth on this one. I have a loose hand-drawn one where you look at away and look back and - as a number here have noted - you immediately see i h s (stylised gothic lower case).

I thought the case for inverted ihs (as proposed by others above on this thread) quite strong, too, until I actually drew out the images on "And again ..."
Seems to me the number 15 is there along with a snake and an omega? I no longer think ihs.

I inverted the colours and the images are now clearer - particularly Omega at the bottom. It seems to be a snake on the left. The ihs identification seems - unfortunately - less secure now.

Hi Rob.
Carolb posted this:
Clearer - but is a mirror (the "s"/snake shape is on the right on Carolb's but on the left on the original).
Hope you and yours are keeping well, mate.

The actual image is the mirror of this - the (inverted) s is on the left.

My thanks. It's from a small French town - a house by a small road called "Way of the Templars". Whats that "m" thing at the bottom ... or top as it seems upside down in situ?
