A jaw bone, fully equipped with teeth, was recently found inside the Misliya cave of Carmel Mountain near Haifa in Israel, dated using three different methods. The conclusion is that the jaw bone is between 177,000 and 194,000 years old. Here is a link to the story in New York Times:

What I am referring to is has the basalt quarry for the basalt statues been located or not. Is the basalt quarry Jo Ann Van Tilburg is talking about, the basalt quarry for the basalt statues or a basalt quarry for basalt tools. To be perfectly clear - Has the basalt quarry for the basalt statues been located or not?

In the book Forgotten Civilization, geologist Robert Schoch writes "Another major puzzle which is directly apllicable to the chronology and dating of the moai, is the matter where various moai were quarried. Quarries on the rim of volcanic crater, where large moai were carved from volcanic tuffs are well exposed and still contain partially carved moai in place. I inspected these quarries car

The distance from the center of The Great Pyramid to the center of the Kalasasaya Temple in Tiwanaku is 7,360.77 miles. Lets take a closer look at this number. There are 360 degrees in a circle. 7,360 can be a symbolic number for 7 circles. Number 7 plays an important role in sacred geometry. The Seed of Life, is formed from seven circles being placed with sixfold symmetry, forming a p

Baalbek or Heliopolis (Ἡλιούπολις, "sun city"): is a town in the northern Bekaa valley in Lebanon. In this town you will find some of the worlds biggest megalithic blocks used in construction. The Propylaeae (a technical expression for the access gate to an ancient sanctuary) of the temple of Jupiter. Below you will see the image of it. Below I have outlined the lines. We can see

You are missing the point. As I have pointed out many times now, the way the kilometer was defined was one- 10,000 th. the distance from the equator to the North Pole. or one- 40,000 th. of the distance of the polar circumference of the Earth. Said in other words, their intention was that you could put this measurement 10,000 times inside the distance from the Equator to the North Pole, thereby

The distance between Easter Island and Machu Picchu is 2222 nautical miles. The distance between Easter Island and Huayna Picchu, which is a mountain top next to Machu Pichu, is 2222,22 nautical miles. The heading from Easter Island to Huayna Picchu is 75.24 degrees. 75 x 24 = 1800 2222.22 / 1800 = 1.234566666

Also in the Emerald Tablets of Thoth, we can read about similar qualities. "Out of the ETHER called HE its substance, moulded and formed by the power of YTOLAN into the forms HE built with His mind. Mile upon mile it covered the island, space upon space it grew in its might. Black, yet not black, but dark like the space-time, deep in its heart the ESSENCE of LIGHT. Swi

The mythology about Uoke reminds me of the stories the indians told about Viracocha, to the first Spanish that arrived to South America "they say that from the land of the noon sun, there came and appeared to them a white man of large build whose aspect and person showed great authority and veneration, and this man had such supreme power that he levelled the mountains and raised up the pl

Here are some other curious measures regarding Easter Island. The distance to from the center of Easter Island to the North Pole is approximately 13,000 km The distance from the center of Easter Island to the South Pole is approxomately 7,000 km 13,000 + 7,000 = 20,000 13,000 - 7,000 = 6,000 20,000 / 6,000 = 3.333333 6000 / 20,000 = 0.3 20,000 x 3.33333 = 66666.66 The distance fro

1) Here is the measurement from Google Earth measured from the North Pole to the South Pole. The ground lenght follows the lay of the land and is the most accurate measure. Map lenght gives the distance going threw air. So 40008 is the map distance. If the air line goes threw an altitude of 10, 20 or 30 meters, it will not give an accurate length since the Earth is curved. 2) I do not

To be exact it is 20,003.88 km in map length and 20,001.65 in ground length. Ground length is the most precise way to measure in my opinion. That means the ground length of the polar circumference 40,003.3 km. That is 3.3 km over 40,000. Strangely enough if you divide 40,000 by 3,3 you get 12,121.21212121 But the real question is did the people that decided that the meter would be one forty-millo

That is the equitorial circumference of the Earth. I am talking about the polar circumference of the Earth. According to wikipedia the polar circumference of the Earth is 40,007.86 km. But when the meter was defined they measured the distance from Equator to the North Pole with the line going threw Paris. So this distance is exactly 10.000 km. The distance from Equator to the North Pole is 1/

Geometry (from the Ancient Greek: γεωμετρία; geo- "earth", -metron "measurement") is a branch of mathematics concerned with questions of shape, size, relative position of figures, and the properties of space The metre was originally defined in 1793 as one ten-millionth of the distance from the equator to the North Pole. The distance from the equator to the North Pole is ¼ o

The original motivation for choosing 360 as the number of degrees in a circle is unknown. At least we know that it came to be a long, long time ago—as in 4 or 5 thousand years ago with the Sumerians, or perhaps other even more ancient groups. One theory states that it is related to the fact that 360 is approximately the number of days in a year. Another theory is that the Sumerians subdivi

The distance from the westernmost point of Motu Nui to the center of The Great Pyramid is 16180 km. This was originally published in Seville in 1553, while the later El Senorio de los Incasremained unpublished until 1880. In chapter five of his Senorio, Cieza recorded the following legend about the appearance of a white god to the forebears of the Incas: “Before the Incas ruled, or were even heard

The Greenwich Meridian was chosen as the Prime Meridian of the World in 1884. Forty-one delegates from 25 nations met in Washington DC for the International Meridian Conference. By the end of the conference, Greenwich had won the prize of Longitude 0º by a vote of 22 to 1 There are two main reasons given for the choice. The first was the fact that the USA had already chosen Greenwich as the b
